food focus: Coach Craig’s Kitchen

A nose around Coach Craig’s kitchen ended up with not so much of a #fridgeselfie, but more of a #sideboardselfie!! We present, some of Coach Craig’s very favourite foods:

1. Coconut Oil – it has one important property, in that it is thermogenic, which will increase your basal metabolic rate, thereby increasing energy expenditure, compared to the same amount of calories in other fats. So why not add a bit of coconut oil to your coffee, or to cook your bacon in?

2. Duck eggs – they are high in protein, actually higher than chicken eggs. I do like to rotate different eggs: duck, chicken and even goose. Also go great with bacon. (Can you see a theme emerging yet?!)

3. Bacon – not necessarily the very best source of protein compard to other meats, but goes great with most things! Has a low amount of leucien per serving, so that just means you need to eat more (shame!).
