As you’d expect it’s been a hive of activity at the Blossom Bank site this week, starting off with screed which went down at the end of last weekend, and then spent the weekend drying out nicely. It’s incredible how even just this has really changed the inside of the premises! The floor level has now been raised so it sits in line with the full height windows, and the decking area to the front.
As soon as the floor was dry we became the proud new owners of an electric meter! Then probably the most transformational piece of interior work to take place to date, has been the painting. All of the walls have been painted white (to continue our signature colour scheme from Avebury Avenue), and this has made the place look so bright! The gym really is going to have such a great vibe as the natural light will flood in and then bounce off all the walls.
Following painting, work has now started on the partitioning walls which are going up to house the changing rooms, treatment room, consultation room and office. The silver structures to the right hand side of the image above are where the changing rooms start, and the front door and windows are to the left hand side of the photo. We have a site meeting next week to agree the exact finishes and detail for the changing rooms.
In terms of the outside of the building, if you’ve been past you’ll see a bit more colour in place! SCI flags are flying proudly, and banners announce our imminent arrival. We’ve also ordered some really eye-catching permanent signage for the windows, and this is all being created as we type.
We’ll share as many photos throughout the process as we can via our Facebook page. Follow us to stay up to date! Don’t forget you can sign up for discounted membership now – we’ve just 100 places available, which are selling fast.
