We are celebrating being shortlisted for a prestigious local business award! The SCI has been shortlisted in the Small Business of the Year category in the 2017 Times Business Awards, which recognises business excellence across West Kent.
The awards are organised by the Times of Tunbridge Wells & Tonbridge, with support from The West Kent Partnership. Since it launched in March 2015, the Times has always believed local businesses to be one of the most important issues to report on. In 2016 they held the first Business Awards which were a huge success, and saw some of the area’s most innovative and successful companies – both big and small – rewarded for their exceptional retail acumen and expertise. The SCI has selected alongside just two other finalists to represent the very best small businesses in the area. The winner will be announced at a gala night to remember at Salomons on 18th May.
Director and Head Coach at The SCI, Alex Shoebridge, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be named one of the top three small businesses in West Kent right now. We’re continually honing our facilities and offerings, and the launch of The SmartCoach and our programme of educational seminars are the very latest examples of services that serve to truly set us apart.”
Fellow Director and Head Coach at The SCI, Martin Shyvers, said: “From day one we set out to be No Ordinary Gym. Not only are we fulfilling this mission within our industry sector, but we’re demonstrating the kind of drive and innovation that larger companies find hard to deliver nimbly. This has earned us a loyal and passionate membership base, and we’re determined to help each and every one of them achieve their health and fitness goals.”
